Governor Makinde Urges Lawmakers to Prioritize Development over Partisan Politics

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has called on members of the State House of Assembly to prioritize the development of the state over partisan politics. The governor gave this advice on Wednesday during the inauguration of the 10th House of Assembly in Ibadan.

In his address to the lawmakers, Governor Makinde emphasized the need for the representatives to work towards the progress of the state. He also promised to improve access to education for every child in the state.

“I want you to set aside partisan politics and work for the development of Oyo State. Our government will reduce the number of out of school children. We remain firm on our resolve to give good governance to our people”, the governor said.

Governor Makinde’s advice to the lawmakers reinforces his commitment to bringing about positive change and development in Oyo State. It is expected that the Assembly members will heed his call and put aside their party affiliations for the betterment of their constituents.

As the new lawmakers settle into their roles as representatives of the people, it is important for them to prioritize the needs and concerns of their constituents above all else. With Governor Makinde’s leadership and guidance, they can deliver on their mandate to drive progress and development in the state.
