In a bid to revive their Premier League title aspirations, former Liverpool attacker Dean Saunders has proposed that Arsenal should pursue the signing of Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane this summer.
Despite facing difficulties at Bayern Munich following his move from Liverpool in a high-profile transfer worth up to £35 million last summer, Saunders believes Mane possesses the potential to assist Arsenal in securing the coveted league title.
During the 2022/23 season, the Senegalese international found it challenging to meet the lofty expectations associated with his name, managing to score a modest tally of 12 goals and provide six assists in 38 appearances for Bayern Munich.
During an interview with talkSPORT, Saunders emphasized the importance of Arsenal capitalizing on Mane’s current situation and potential availability.
“Signing Mane could be the missing piece in the jigsaw puzzle for Arsenal’s title chances. His versatility allows him to perform at a high level in various positions, including a central role,” Saunders expressed.
