Presidential victory or not, Atiku still our pride – Jada PDP

Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party in Jada, the country home of Atiku Abubakar have said the party’s presidential candidate in the last election, has demonstrated his unbroken loyalty to them.

They said during a ceremony at the PDP state secretariat in Yola Thursday that Atiku’s loss in the February 25 election had not affected their support for and confidence in him and that he remains their pride.

The immediate past chairman of the Jada Local Council, Abdulkareem Bakala who led PDP stakeholders from Jada to the Yola solidarity visit, said that Atiku had done so much for the PDP and Nigeria that he ought to be appreciated by all Nigerians.

“We are here in continuation of Democracy Day. Waziri (Atiku Abubakar) is one of the founding fathers of PDP and he has done well for the party and for the country. He contested for the presidency and we are still struggling for his mandate.

“We feel confident that our son will win. They said he lost by a narrow margin, but we say he actually won the election and we are here today to say that we are with him as he fights for his mandate,” Abdulkareem Bakala said.

Media Talk Africa reports that Atiku Abubakar hails from the Kojoli Jada 1 ward of the Jada LGA of southern Adamawa, although Yola is his adopted political home base where he usually casts his vote.
