The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has expressed concerns about the current state of Nigeria’s economy and emphasized the need for prayers to overcome the prevailing hardships.
In his opinion, the recent decision by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to float the naira is not the most suitable approach to reviving the Nigerian economy. Primate Ayodele believes that despite the perceived benefits of this policy, the economy will continue to face challenges.
In a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the spiritual leader explained that the floating of the naira was a misguided decision by President Bola Tinubu and warned of its potential adverse effects, such as skyrocketing prices of commodities.
Primate Ayodele further pointed out that ordinary Nigerians would bear the brunt of this policy, as their living conditions would deteriorate due to increased hardship. He urged President Tinubu to take decisive steps towards addressing the country’s issues before the suffering of Nigerians intensifies.
“Nigeria’s economy still needs prayers to survive. The floating of the naira is not what the country needs at the moment,” stated Primate Ayodele.
“Even though it may offer temporary hope, it will ultimately lead to economic hardship and disappointment for the nation. Nothing will be appreciated, as the country is currently in economic shambles.
“We will witness significant economic instability, and the prices of commodities will rise.”
Primate Ayodele emphasized that the ordinary Nigerian citizens would not benefit from this policy, as they would have to endure even tougher economic conditions. He asserted that the floating of the naira was not the most prudent decision and would fail to yield positive outcomes for the economy.
He implored the government to reflect inwardly and implement effective measures to improve the situation. Failure to do so, he warned, would subject Nigeria to further suffering and hardship.
