Reforms and Appointments: Fani-Kayode Hails Tinubu’s Leadership

In the past three weeks, President Bola Tinubu’s political moves have received praise from former Aviation Minister and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode.

President Tinubu has been lauded for implementing reforms and streamlining the system by removing prominent figures from key positions.

Since his inauguration on May 29, Tinubu has already sacked and replaced several public officeholders.

Last week, the President dismissed the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele. A few days later, Abdulrasheed Bawa, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was also removed.

On Monday, Tinubu went a step further by relieving all security chiefs of their duties and appointing replacements.

Responding to these actions, Fani-Kayode issued a statement on Tuesday, praising Tinubu’s leadership and highlighting the vindication of his staunch supporters.

“No leader or President in the history of our country has made so many positive changes and reforms, and appointed such credible, decisive, courageous, and effective individuals to key positions in their administration within just three weeks of being sworn into office,” stated Fani-Kayode.

He further added, “Today, even Tinubu’s strongest critics and those who previously tried to undermine him during the presidential campaign are now commending him.”

Fani-Kayode’s statement acknowledged the fulfillment of their faith in Tinubu’s capabilities and the pride that comes with being vindicated.

He continued, “Thanks to Tinubu, Nigeria is now experiencing a new lease of life. The light of God has begun to dispel the thick darkness of stagnation, retrogressive policies, monumental corruption, vicious persecution, selective application of justice, abuse of power, incomprehensible incompetence, and malicious impunity that we have witnessed in recent years.”
