In the midst of Manchester United’s search for a new striker, club legend Rio Ferdinand has expressed his belief that Victor Osimhen should be brought to Old Trafford this summer.
With names like Osimhen, Harry Kane, and Rasmus Hojlund being linked to the Red Devils, Ferdinand sees Osimhen as the ideal choice for the role. Unfortunately, a move for Kane seems unlikely as Tottenham Hotspur Chairman, Daniel Levy, has made it clear that he has no intention of selling the England international to United. As for Hojlund, although he is available for transfer, his lack of experience at the highest level raises doubts about his suitability for the position.
In light of these circumstances, Ferdinand strongly urges Manchester United to meet Osimhen’s asking price and secure his services.
Reflecting on the current striker market, Ferdinand stated, “Do it. Look at the market. Who else is there? There’s no one ready-made,” as quoted by United in Focus.
During the previous season, Osimhen displayed his exceptional talent by scoring 31 goals in all competitions for Serie A champions Napoli.
