The Nigeria Premier League has unveiled its nominees for the Player of the Season award.
Remo Stars goalkeeper Kayode Bankole, NPL top scorer and Enyimba striker Chukwuemeka Obioma, and Rivers United defender Ebube Duru have all been nominated for the award.
Bankole had the most clean sheets for the 2022–23 NPL season with eight, as his heroics helped secure a CAF Champions League slot for the Sky Blues Stars.
Duru was instrumental to the success of Rivers United’s NPL campaign with his goals from set pieces, and his performance was rewarded with a Super Eagles call-up.
Obioma is the top scorer in the Nigeria Premier League with 16 goals.
