The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ogun State has recently recognized and decorated 155 officers who have been newly promoted to various ranks within the organization.
During a ceremony held in the state capital, Abeokuta, the NSCDC Commandant in Ogun, Idowu Ojelabi, took the opportunity to personally decorate the deserving officers.
Ojelabi expressed his appreciation for the Commandant-General of the NSCDC, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for his prompt action in promoting the officers, especially those who had been stagnant in their ranks for an extended period of time.
“I must applaud the NSCDC Commandant-General for his commitment to addressing the concerns of our stagnant officers nationwide. Here in Ogun State Command, we are delighted to have elevated a total of 155 personnel to higher ranks, including those who have been waiting patiently for this opportunity,” Ojelabi stated.
He further explained that the NSCDC’s top official had taken significant steps to address the prolonged stagnation of these officers. Through a rejuvenated promotion process and a fair and credible screening and examination, the NSCDC has been able to rectify the situation.
Ojelabi called upon the newly promoted senior officers in Ogun State Command to embrace their new responsibilities with diligence and professionalism.
“It is important that you approach your roles with the utmost professionalism. By doing so, you will further solidify the positive reputation that the Corps has already established in Ogun State,” he urged.
