Benue: Governor Alia Makes Four Fresh Appointments

The Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has announced the appointment of Emmanuel Terlumun Agema as the Acting Chairman of the Benue State Internal Revenue Service, BIRS.

Following the dismissal of Mrs. Mimi Orubibi-Adzape from her position, Agema will assume the role of BIRS Chairman. Governor Alia expressed his confidence in Agema’s ability to effectively lead the agency.

In addition, Governor Alia, on Friday, appointed three individuals to serve in the office of his deputy, Hon Sam Ode.

The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, issued a statement confirming the appointments. Barr Musa Sulaiman Ujor is now the Deputy Chief of Staff, Iorshagher Ikyereve has been appointed as the Press Secretary, and Lawrence Ogwuche will serve as the Deputy Private Secretary.

The statement emphasized that the appointments take immediate effect, and the newly appointed individuals were urged to uphold the trust and confidence placed in them by the governor.
