The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kaduna has deployed a total of 2,500 personnel across the state to maintain law and order during the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebrations. The move aims to protect lives, property, and critical national assets before, during, and after the festivities.
In a statement released by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Habeeb Badamsi, the Commandant of NSCDC, CC Idris Yahaya Adah, emphasized the need for heightened security at places of worship. This measure aims to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted celebration across all 23 local government areas of the state.
CC Adah disclosed that the NSCDC had already launched a 24-hour patrol across the state to deter miscreants and other criminal elements from disrupting the peaceful coexistence of residents. Furthermore, he directed all area commanders, divisional officers, and outposts to guarantee a harmonious Eid-el-Kabir celebration within their respective local government areas.
Adah stressed the importance of residents cooperating with security agents by promptly reporting any suspicious activities or suspected criminals in their neighborhoods. Such information would facilitate swift arrest and prosecution of potential threats.
As the Eid-el-Kabir celebration draws near, Kaduna residents can take solace in the NSCDC’s proactive measures and their commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment throughout the festivities. With the deployment of 2,500 personnel, the NSCDC is well-positioned to protect the lives and properties of residents, fostering an atmosphere of peace and harmony during this joyous occasion.
