Barcelona Star Expresses Discontent Over Gundogan’s Arrival

In a surprising turn of events, Barcelona midfielder Gavi has reportedly voiced his dissatisfaction with the club’s decision to bring in Ilkay Gundogan from Manchester City.

According to reports, the young Spanish international is concerned that the arrival of Gundogan will restrict his playing time and potentially lead to him being benched by manager Xavi.

El Nacional reveals that Gavi firmly believes that he will be sacrificed by the manager in the upcoming season, as the former Manchester City captain takes his place in the midfield alongside Frenkie de Jong and Pedri.

Gavi’s discontent comes at a time when he recently had his contract renewed in January. This unexpected transfer development has left him struggling to come to terms with the situation.

It is worth noting that Gavi’s contract had not been registered by LaLiga due to Barcelona exceeding the wage limit. As a result, the club had to terminate the contract of Jordi Alba, while Sergio Busquets’ imminent departure at the end of the season also helped reduce the financial burden.

Meanwhile, German international Gundogan completed his move to Camp Nou on Monday, joining Barcelona on a free transfer from Manchester City.
