Eid-el-Kabir: Kwara Police Command Cautions Against Criminal Activities

The Kwara State Police Command has issued a warning to citizens of the state, urging them to refrain from engaging in any form of criminality during the Eid-el-Kabir Muslim festival.

In a statement released by the command’s spokesperson, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, in Ilorin on Tuesday, it was emphasized that extensive security measures have been put in place across the state to ensure a peaceful and smooth celebration of the festival.

Ajayi stated that all departments and sections within the command have been fully activated and deployed strategically to maintain law and order during the festive period. The police command aims to create an atmosphere that fosters a cheerful and secure Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

He further advised the people of Kwara State, particularly the Muslim faithful, to celebrate in moderation and refrain from engaging in any criminal activities. Additionally, he urged everyone to adhere to traffic regulations, including following diversions when necessary, and expressed concern over the dangerous stunts performed by motorcycle and tricycle operators, urging the public to prioritize the safety of all road users.

“The command wishes Muslim brothers and sisters in the state Barka de Sallah and a happy and peaceful celebration,” the statement concluded.
