Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has called on Nigerians to embrace the spirit of communal trust and forgiveness as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir. He believes that this auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for communities to rebuild trust and collaborate in reviving local economies.

In his felicitation message to Muslim brothers and sisters, Governor Sani highlighted that Eid-el-Kabir is a special festival of sacrifice and thanksgiving to Almighty Allah for His numerous blessings in the lives of the people.

The governor also acknowledged the proactive measures taken by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu towards resetting the Nigerian economy, transforming mindsets, and propelling the country towards sustainable progress and development. He emphasized the need for collective sacrifice and urged Nigerians to support and cooperate with the President.

Governor Sani reassured the citizens of Kaduna State of his commitment to fulfilling the promises made to them, and he announced plans to commence a rural transformation drive in the near future. However, he stressed the importance of peace and stability in realizing this vision and restoring harmony in troubled communities.

He encouraged individuals to reflect upon their own actions and contributions to communal peace, asking if they have been fair to their neighbors and if they have promoted or undermined peace in their communities. Governor Sani also urged honest introspection to determine if they have been living in accordance with the will of Allah and emphasized the need to seek forgiveness from Him.

Highlighting the significance of reconciliation among communities, the governor stated that it is crucial to curbing criminal activities and ensuring peace. He emphasized that citizens must recognize their shared identity and view their differences as artificial boundaries.

Governor Sani mentioned that his administration has initiated productive dialogues with key stakeholders, including local government chairmen, traditional rulers, and top members of the judiciary. The next phase of strategic engagement will involve religious leaders, as they play a critical role in the moral development of citizens and the maintenance of peace and security in communities.

As Nigerians celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, Governor Sani’s call for communal trust and forgiveness serves as a reminder of the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence in achieving sustainable progress and development.
