Godswill Akpabio: Regretting My Decision to Contest APC Presidential Primary Against Tinubu

In a surprising turn of events, the former Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has recently expressed his regret over his decision to contest against President Bola Tinubu in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election.

During a speech delivered in Lagos State, Akpabio openly admitted that had he been aware of the grand plan that President Tinubu had for Nigeria, he would not have competed against him in the primary elections. He further emphasized that Lagos State serves as a shining example of development for other states across the country.

Akpabio commended President Tinubu’s accomplishments in Lagos, stating, “With what the president has achieved in Lagos, we can rest assured that Nigeria is in capable hands.”

The former Senate President went on to express his regret, saying, “Had we known this was your vision for the country, we would not have contested against you in the party primaries. The decisions you have made so far have acted as a catalyst for our nation’s development.”
