Abia State Governor Nominates Otti Chukwumerije and 18 Others as Commissioners

Abia State’s political landscape is set to undergo a significant transformation as Governor Alex Otti has submitted a list of 19 nominees for appointment as commissioners to the Abia State House of Assembly. The assembly now has the task of screening and confirming the nominations.

One name that stands out among the nominees is Mr. Chaka Chukwumerije, who happens to be the son of the late Senator Uche Chukwumerije. A fresh face in Nigerian politics, Chukwumerije’s inclusion in the list suggests Governor Otti’s intention to inject new blood into the state government.

The list further includes Ikechukwu Uwaoma, Uzo Nwachukwu, Prof. Joel Friday Ogbonna, Chima Emmanuel Oriaku, Nwaobilor Nwadimma Ananaba, and Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu. These individuals bring a wide range of skills and knowledge to the table, promising a well-rounded team of commissioners.

Rounding out the list are Ngozi Blessing Felix, Don Otutmchere Oti, Sunny Okebugwu Owunna, Ikechuckwu Monday, and Mathew Chikodi Ekwuribe. These individuals have shown dedication to public service and are poised to contribute meaningfully to the development of Abia State.
