Osun State plans palliatives to cushion effects of subsidy removal

Segun Adegoke, Osogbo

The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has disclosed his plan to roll out palliatives to cushion the effects of petrol subsidy removal on residents of the state.

He made the disclosure on Friday at the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) stakeholders meeting held in Osogbo, the state capital.

The Governor who reiterated his administration’s readiness to make life easy for residents of the state, stressed his conviction to put smiles on the faces of the people.

He explained that the palliatives would come in the areas of public transport services and work hours for civil servants.

“We (Osun Government) will soon introduce public transport buses. We are working on adjusted work hours and days. We want to make live easy and enjoyable for our people”.

In another development, Governor Adeleke appreciated leaders of the PDP for their support since assuming office and noted that his government would fulfil all election promises and make them proud.

He assured the party leaders and members that he would run an inclusive government that would be fair to all, leaving no one behind.

“We will all be accommodated. We will be fair to all. I appreciate your support then and now. This is your government. We shall all realize the fruits of our labour,” he added.
