In a move to enhance communications and media affairs, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has announced the appointment of four new media aides. The governor made this announcement in a letter signed by his Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, on Monday.
The newly appointed media aides have been given the responsibility of ensuring effective dissemination of information to the public and projecting the image of the state government. They have been charged with the task of handling their roles diligently and delivering on the expectations of the government and the people.
According to a statement made available to Media Talk Africa by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the appointments include Olorundare Olamide Wilson as the Senior Special Assistant on New Media, while Oluwadare Daniel Aleshinloye has been reappointed as the Special Assistant on Photography.
Joining the team are Timilehin Olubiyi as the Special Assistant (New Media I) and Mobolaji Dada as the Special Assistant (New Media II).
The appointments are a testament to Governor Makinde’s commitment to leveraging the power of new media platforms to engage with the citizens of Oyo State, as well as to keep them informed about government activities and initiatives.
Additionally, Governor Makinde has also approved the appointment of the immediate past Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Abiodun Oni, as the Director-General of the Mineral Development Agency of Oyo State and Executive Chairman of the Pacesetter Mineral Development Company.
With these new appointments, Governor Makinde aims to strengthen his team and ensure effective communication channels with the people of Oyo State. It is expected that these media aides and the director-general will bring their skills and expertise to bear in order to achieve the government’s goals and objectives.
