SGF Tasks North Central Speakers on Effective Synergy for Speedy Development

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, has emphasized the need for the Speakers of State Assemblies in the North Central Zone to synergize with their Governors for peace, unity, and speedy development to thrive in their States.

Senator Akume made this statement during a gathering with the Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in the North Central Zone of Nigeria.

The SGF congratulated them for their emergence as Speakers in their respective States during the recently concluded elections and inaugurations across the country, reminding them of the tasks that lie ahead.

Senator Akume acknowledged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s passion for the country’s economy, security, and other aspects of society. He highlighted that the President is determined to deliver on his mandate and would like to see that translated across all states of the federation.

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, explained that their visit to the SGF was to congratulate him on his appointment and wish him success as a leader from the region.

Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi assured the SGF of the resolution by Speakers of the State Houses of Assembly in the North Central region to partner with their Governors and, by extension, the judiciary, in order to foster peace, unity, and speedy development in their respective states.

Accompanying the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Balarabe Abdullahi, were the Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Muhammed Adamu Omadefu (APC KEANA), and the Minority Leader of the House, Hon. Musa Ibrahim Abubakar (NNPP Doma South).
