Barcelona Sign Inigo Martinez, Securing Two-Year Deal

In an exciting transfer move, Barcelona has officially announced the signing of Inigo Martinez. The 32-year-old defender joins the club on a two-year deal, having previously played for Athletic Bilbao.

Confirming the news, Barcelona released a statement on their website, stating, “An agreement has been reached between FC Barcelona and Íñigo Martínez for the player to join the Club after his contract with Athletic Club ended.” The statement also revealed that Martinez’s contract will expire on June 30, 2025, with a staggering release clause of 400 million euros.

Martinez, a highly experienced player, made his move to Athletic Bilbao in 2018 from Real Sociedad. His signing is expected to bolster Barcelona’s defense and provide depth to the team.
