Former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili, has reiterated her demand for an independent technology investigation into the ongoing saga between the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and Mmesoma Ejikeme regarding her UTME result. Despite a phone call from JAMB Registrar Professor Ishaq Oloyede, which he claimed dropped, Ezekwesili stands firm on her call for an investigation.
Earlier this week, JAMB released a statement stating that it had already concluded its investigation into Mmesoma’s alleged forged result. However, Ezekwesili maintains her demand for answers from JAMB to address the confusion surrounding the issue. Taking to her verified Twitter account, she outlined a series of questions she believes should be answered.
Ezekwesili questions the circumstances surrounding the production of Mmesoma’s result slip and whether other candidates have experienced similar discrepancies. She also emphasizes the need for a comprehensive systems check to ensure the integrity of JAMB’s examination processes.
Highlighting the importance of exam integrity, Ezekwesili urges JAMB to conduct an independent technology investigation to uncover the truth of the case and hold all parties accountable. She emphasizes the significance of trust in public institutions such as JAMB and the need for a just resolution to regain confidence from reasonable citizens.
