Nigeria’s Regent School has been adjudged excellent by a group of British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspectors commissioned by the UK Department for Education (DfE) in England.
The British Schools Overseas inspects and accredit British worldwide faculties exterior of the UK.
The inspection of the Nigerian faculty makes it the primary in West Africa to attain the excellent faculty standing, judged by British Schools Overseas inspectors.
Explaining the frat to journalists, the Head of Assessment and certified BSO Inspector within the faculty, Mr. Akin Alufa, spoke about their journey to the excellent ranking.
According to him, “schools that are judged outstanding have stringent criteria to meet. They must cross all t’s and dot all the I’s in all ramifications. They must also demonstrate through excellent practice across board that they can be relied upon to show glowing examples within COBIS and BSO communities globally”
He added that, to be recognised by the UK Department for Education (DfE), a British faculty abroad (BSO) should have an inspection report which exhibits that their efficiency in opposition to all of the BSO requirements is a minimum of passable.
“This reflects the standards required for continuing registration as a school in England”
The Chief Inspector, PENTA International, Dr. Mark Evans, mentioned that the Regent faculty has made wonderful progress because the final BSO inspection.
Following the excellent BSO inspection, the Nigerian Regent faculty will now be allotted a novel reference quantity on the UK’s nationwide faculty reference system, Edubase.
