Police arraign 2 for alleged serial stealing in Osun

The Police in Osun on Friday arraigned Adewumi Boyeji, 28, and Babatunde Owolabi, 28, earlier than a Chief Magistrate Court in Osogbo for allegedly stealing bikes, valued at N238,000.

The accused have been charged with stealing three bikes and a vulcanising machine in Ora-Igbomina, Ifedayo Local Government Area, Osun.

“On April 10, around 5:20 am, at Oke-Kanga Street in Ora-Igbomina, the accused also stole a Jincheng motorcycle belonging to one Samson Opeyemi, valued at N70,000.

“Also, on June 26, at about 5:12 a.m., at Oke-Afin Street, Ora-Igbomina, they stole Ajon Tersee’s Bajaj Boxer motorcycle, valued at N200,000,” he added.

According to the police prosecutor, the offences violated Sections 516, 383, and 390(10A) of the Criminal Code Cap. 34 Vol. II, Laws of Osun, 2002.
