Troops rescue 24 kidnapped victims, kill four bandits in Zamfara

The Nigerian Army says its troops have rescued 24 victims kidnapped from a location in Zamfara State.

Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director, Army Public Relations, in an announcement on (*24*) night time, mentioned the troops additionally eradicated a few of their abductors throughout alternate of fireside.

He mentioned “troops of 223 Battalion, operating under Sector 1 of Joint Task Force, North West Operations Hadarin Daji have rescued 24 kidnap victims, including a child, after a shootout with notorious bandits at Kabugu Lamba, an abandoned village in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara state.”

According to the assertion, the troops, who had been led by the Commanding Officer of the Battalion, throughout alternate of fireside with the bandits, killed four bandits, rescued 9 feminine, 14 male victims, together with a minor, including that every one the rescued victims have been evacuated from the bandits’ hideout.
