A lecturer with the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil in Kano State, Dr Goddy Igbaekemen has petitioned the Police Service Commission, PSC, over alleged mutilation and elimination of paperwork from his official information.
A duplicate of the petition, signed by the counsel to the lecturer, Thomas Shachia, was made out there to the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja on Sunday.
Mr Igbaekemen alleged that the mutilation and elimination of the document from his document was to frustrate and deny him promotion duly authorised by the academy since 2015.
According to him, the letter on which the approval was conveyed was mutilated, faraway from his official document and hid by people bent on irritating him.
The lecturer stated the anomaly was found after a number of efforts and official letter to the registrar of the academy, in search of retrieval of the document.
Mr Igbaekemen stated his travail within the Academy began along with his illegal disengagement from service in 2016.
He stated he was later reinstated after the intervention of the National Assembly, NASS Committee on Petitions.
The lecturer added that the NASS had resolved that the termination of his employment was illegal.
The petitioner nonetheless stated regardless of the National Assembly decision, he has been denied all promotions.
“For the avoidance of doubt, I am eminently qualified to be promoted and conferred with the status of a professor,” he stated
The lecturer, nonetheless, stated that the Academy has neither promoted him, nor paid his essential arrears until date.
Mr Igbaekemen subsequently, urged the chairman of PSC, Solomon Arase, to direct the commandant and administration of the academy to launch his promotion letter.
He additionally referred to as on the chairman to mandate the academy to correctly place him on his deserved place of a professor and pay all his accrued entitlements.
Mr Igbaekemen additional appealed to the PSC chairman to direct the Inspector General of Police to instantly start investigation into the allegations raised within the petition.
