Gov AbdulRazaq cautions Kwara State Residents against Dangers of Flooding

By Tunde  Akanbi, Ilorin

Residents of Kwara State have been urged to join hands with the state government to ensure the free flow of water and prevent flooding that may threaten lives or human sustenance in any part of the state.

The state Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq gave the charge when he inspected the ongoing dredging of the Asa River as part of the government’s unceasing efforts to prevent flooding and loss of lives and properties.

According to him, this is in addition to the distilling of drainages and numerous media campaigns the government has mounted to educate the public on the intensity of rainfall this year, the threat of flooding, and the danger associated with blocking waterways under any guise.
