The first batch of the troops landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Monday 10 July 2023.

Similarly, troops comprising nine officers and 77 soldiers deployed to take over from them departed the Airport the same day at about 08:13 am en route to Guinea Bissau.

It would be recalled that a bloc of West African nations began deploying stabilization force to Guinea Bissau after the country was thrown into turmoil when its President escaped a coup attempt in February.
