President Tinubu Declares Emergency On Food Security

The Nigerian President , Bola Tinubu has declared a state of emergency on food security.

Presidential Spokesman, Dele Alake, disclosed this on Thursday while briefing State House Correspondents.

Alake said; “more funds would be injected into the agricultural sector from proceeds of the removal of fuel subsidy.

The Presidential aide also said that security agencies would ensure farmers are protected on their farms, to boost food supply.

He said the steps were taken by the Nigerian leader to address the problem of shortage of food in all parts of the country.
