Subsidy palliative: ‘Govt of renewed shege’ – Sowore knocks FG

Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore has lambasted President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Sowore described Tinubu’s administration as a government of ‘renewed shege’.

He made the remark while reacting to Tinubu’s decision to provide palliative care to Nigerians for six months.

Tweeting, Sowore wrote: “The govt of #RenewedShege! So, @officialABAT is going to provide palliative of N53 per day for 6 months?

“Jokes carried too far! These guys don’t rate Nigerians! #Revolutionnow.”

Tinubu had unveiled plans to transfer N8,000 to 12 million poor households in the country.

He said the money would be transferred to poor Nigerians within the next six months.

The president’s plan was contained in a letter to the House of Representatives over the 800 million dollars loan request of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for the social safety net programme.

He urged the House of Representatives to secure the loan.
