Nigerian Army’s 4 Special Force welcomes new Commander 

The Nigerian Army 4 Special Force in Doma, Nasarawa State, has welcomed Major General Hillary Nzan, as the new Commander of the Force.

Maj. Gen. Nzan takes over from Maj. Gen. Owoyinka Soyele, who was transferred to the Army Headquarters in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony in Doma Local Government Area (LGA) of Nasarawa State, the new Commander commended his predecessor for the feats the command had achieved during his time as the head of the command.

He explained that the command had contributed immensely in tackling criminality such as banditry, kidnapping and farmers’- herders’ crisis.

He said the command had also contributed toward bringing peace to Nasarawa State as well as other states in the North-Central Geo-Political Zone.

“I will build on the successes of my predecessor and improve on them with a view of doing better to ensure that the state and its environs continue to be peaceful.

“The troops are ready and motivated to collaborate with other security agencies to ensure a peaceful environment for the people to carry out their legitimate businesses,” the commander added.

He therefore warned criminals to desist as they would stop at nothing until all bad elements are completely defeated in the state.

Meanwhile, the outgoing commander lauded the troops for what they have achieved during his time in the last one year.

Maj. Gen. Soyele explained that the troops had participated in so many successful operations in the state and in the Northeast as well.

He also commended the troops for the support he enjoyed throughout and appealed that same corporation be extended to his successor to enable him achieve the mandate of the special force.
