Gov Eno sends commissioners, special adviser nominees to A’Ibom Assembly [Full List]

The governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has sent a list of nominees for appointment as 23 commissioners and a special adviser to the state House of Assembly.

A letter dated July 19, 2023, addressed to the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Udeme Otong, was read on the floor of the house during the Thursday, July 20, plenary.

The letter showed that 99% of the commissioners and the special adviser of the last administration of Gov Udom Emmanuel made the list of the current administration.

The letter reads in part: “In line with Section 192 (2) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), I forward the underlisted names of nominees for appointment to the office of commissioners and special adviser for confirmation by the State House of Assembly.”

The Speaker referred the commissioners and special adviser nominees to the House Committee on Judiciary, Justice, Human Rights, and Public Petitions for further legislative action.
