Nigeria seeks investments for mutually beneficial partnerships – VP Shettima

Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima says the country is seeking investments for mutually beneficial partnerships, not handouts.

He stated this on Monday during the United Nations Food Systems Summit being held in Rome, Italy

In a high-level session on Financing Food Systems Transformation, VP Shettima explained that Nigeria needs no handouts but real partnerships adding; We have removed the albatrosses of fuel subsidies and multiple exchange rates from our necks.”

According to him, Napoleon Bonaparte once said, “China is a Sleeping Giant. Let her sleep, for when she wakes, she will shake the world.”

VP Shettima added that President Bola Tinubu is poised to redefine the meaning of modern leadership in Nigeria, the Giant of Africa.
