Niger: Gov Bago mourns Chief Imam of Suleja Central Mosque

Niger State Governor, Muhammed Umaru Bago, has condoled with the Emir of Suleja, Mallam Muhammadu Awwal Ibrahim and the entire people of the emirate over the demise of chief Imam of Suleja Central Mosque, Sheikh Dahiru Shu’aibu.

The governor, during a condolence visit Monday at the emir’s palace in Suleja, described Shu’aibu’s passing as sad and painful.

Bago explained that the late chief imam served the state meritoriously as Sharia Court judge and as chief imam of Suleja.

According to him, “The late chief imam contributed his quota to the development of the emirate and the state.”

The governor enjoined the people of the emirate to accept whatever Allah has permitted to happen as He gives and takes while praying for the repose of the soul of the departed.
