Edo State Appoints Journalist As Chief Press Secretary

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has approved the appointment of a top Journalist and newspaper editor,  Mr Andrew Okungbowa, as his new chief press secretary.

In a statement signed by the Secretary to the Edo state government Mr. Osarodion Ogie, on Tuesday,  July 25th,  Mr.  Okungbowa’ s  appointment takes effect immediate.

Mr. Okungbowa is a graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Benin and also holds a Masters degree  in English from the University of lagos.

He was a former president of the Association Travel and Tourism writers of Nigeria (ANJET) and weekend editor with the Dailly Telegraph newspapers in Lagos State.

Well travelled,  Andrew Okungbowa was at point in his career, a staff of the Guardian newspapers, and helped stabilised the Association Tour Operators of Nigeria (NATOP) as Executive Secretary,  and before his appointment,  Special Adviser on inter government relations to President, Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN)  Mr Nkereweum onung.
