He’s Rolls Royce – Wrexham’s Ben Foster hails Man Utd defender

Wrexham goalkeeper, Ben Foster, has hailed Manchester United defender Jonny Evans as ‘Rolls Royce’ after his side’s pre-season friendly 3-1 win over the Red Devils on Tuesday.

Foster knows Evans from their time together at Old Trafford and feels the defender is more than capable of working his way back into the first team under manager Erik Ten Hag.

Recall that Wrexham defeated Manchester United at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.

Speaking after Wrexham defeated Man United, Foster told The United Stand: “Nowadays, it is not even possible. [Manchester] United have the whole word to choose from. If they are struggling in a position, they can go out and spend £40m-£50m – it is just the way it goes.

“For me, Jonny Evans was the guy today. I love him. He’s a Rolls Royce, honestly.”

Evans returned to Man United on a short-term contract this summer after being released by Leicester City.
