Synergy among security agencies will boost counter terrorism – MNJTF Commander

The new Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force, MNJTF, Major General Ibrahim Sallau Ali has said effective collaboration and synergy among heads of security agencies will lead to complete decimation of bandits and terrorists within the affected areas.

This was contained in a statement, issued by Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, Military Public Information Officer, N’djamena.

According to the statement, Commander of the MNJTF, Major General Ibrahim Sallau Ali appreciated the Chadian Armed Forces for its support and appealed for more cooperation that would aid in achieving the mandate of the MNJTF.

He stated this during a maiden visit to the Chadian Chief of General Staff, General Abakar Abdelkarim Daoud, in his office, just as he acknowledged General Daoud’s leadership role and consistent support towards the success of the MNJTF.

He said with the collaboration and cooperation among the member countries, it would effectively combat the activities of terrorists and ensure peace and stability in the Lake Chad basin.

The Force Commander highlighted the need for increased support from member countries, including Chad, in terms of intelligence-sharing, manpower and resources to effectively combat the common enemy.

Responding, General Daoud assured the Force Commander and the MNJTF of Chad Armed Forces’ readiness to provide continuous support and assistance towards achieving the mission’s goals.

He expressed the Chadian armed forces’ commitment to the success of the MNJTF, emphasizing that Chad, as the host country, holds a special responsibility towards ensuring the mission’s success.
