NEMA urges security agencies to beef up security around Kaduna warehouse

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has called on security agencies to secure its warehouses in Kaduna State.

Media Talk Africa recalls that hoodlums broke into NEMA’s warehouse in Adamawa State and carted away palliatives.

In the wake of the development, the zonal coordinator of the NEMA Office in Kaduna, Abbani Imam, has urged security operatives to beef up their presence at the agency’s warehouse.

According to him, Kaduna NEMA got a directive to contact security agencies, especially the Disaster Risks Units (DRUs), which entails all security agencies collaborating with NEMA.

“We have contacted the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) where our warehouses are located to be on alert. We also informed all SSS officers and are closely monitoring the situation,” he said.

He avowed that they are monitoring the situation locally and will keep relevant stakeholders informed.
