Nigeria vs England: I’m totally heartbroken – Sunday Oliseh

Former Nigeria international, Sunday Oliseh, has said that he was ‘totally broken’ and proud of the Super Falcons of Nigeria after they crashed out of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in the Round of 16 on Monday.

Nigeria lost 4-2 against England via penalty shootout in the round of 16 after the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

Both Desire Oparanozie and Michelle Alozie missed their spot-kicks for the Super Falcons during the shootout against England.

However, Oliseh, in a tweet via his Twitter handle after the game, said Randy Waldrum’s men put in an extra super performance against England.

According to him, the Super Falcons have put Nigeria back up in world football.

He tweeted, “I am totally heartbroken but at the same time so proud of our “Extra Super” Falcons today.

“In spite of all the hardship and at times inhuman mistreatment, they have put Nigeria back up in world Football. God bless them all!!”
