Army continues to uphold highest standard of integrity, probity – DAPR

The Nigerian Army remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, probity and professionalism by providing exemplary and pragmatic leadership.

Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations in a statement stated this while reacting to a publication by an online news platform, alleging that the recently retired 25 senior officers in the Army, were due to corruption in the system.

However, Brigadier Onyema claimed the Army is noted for its discipline, with sound administration that will continue to boldly guarantee the welfare and motivation of its personnel.

According to the statement, the NA has continuously strived to provide a supportive and conducive work environment and conditions for its personnel.

It added that the Army has continued to improve its operational capabilities, including the injection of equipment into the theatres of operations, prompt payment of operational allowances, including the Ration Cash Allowance recently increased by the new Chief of Army Staff, massive construction of new accommodation and extensive renovation of old and dilapidated buildings among others.

It further enjoined the general public to discountenance the manipulative insinuations peddled in the said publication as it is glaringly unsubstantiated.
