Odumusu deployed as new NSCDC FCT Commandant

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), FCT Command has deployed its spokesman, Commandant Olusola Odumusu as Commandant FCT.

Commandant General of the Corps, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, said the deployment, is for effective service delivery, adding that Commandant Odumosu would take over from Commandant Peter Maigari, who would be proceeding on a strategic course at the National Security Institute for the next one year.

While hailing Odumosu for his commitment and display of professionalism in his duty, Dr. Audi extolled the virtues of hardwork, tenacity, dedication and loyalty exhibited by him while working at the National headquarters.

He said Odumosu’s tenure as the Director of Public Relations of the Corps witnessed a lot of innovations that strengthened the Corp’s image, with a corresponding increase in the level of social acceptability nationwide.

He directed that both the handing and taking over between the outgoing and incoming Commandants be concluded latest by Tuesday, 15th August, 2023.

In his response, the new FCT Commandant, thanked the CG for counting him worthy of providing leadership for the FCT Command at this time, assuring that he would remain steadfast, hardworking, resolute and committed to the ideals and vision of the Corps.

Meanwhile, the CG has appointed CSC Babawale Zaid Afolabi as the new Director of Public Relations at the
NSCDC National Headquarters in Abuja.
