My team will come good next season – Akwa United boss, Osho

Akwa United head coach, Fatai Osho has stated that his team will be ready for the start of the new season.

The young tactician took charge of the Promise Keepers two months ago.

Osho said that the building process of a formidable team that will challenge for honours is still in progress.

The Promise Keepers played out a 1-1 draw against Bayelsa United in a pre-season friendly in Uyo on Saturday.

The former Rivers United assistant coach stressed that the results of the encounter isn’t important but building a formidable squad for the new season.

“I’m impressed that we did very well in the game

“We conceded an early goal, we fought back and equalized,” he told the club’s media.

“We are working to ensure we have a good team for the new season.

“These two games have given us something to think about and all the noticeable lapses will be corrected because we are still working.

“We are still a work in progress. I want to assure everyone at the club that we will be ready for the task ahead in a very short time.”
