Insecurity: Niger State seeks more military support

The Niger State Governor, Mohammed Bago has advocated continued support of the Nigerian Armed Forces to tackle the security challenges in the State.

Governor Bago stated this during a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.

In a statement by his spokesperson Boligi Ibrahim, Governor Bago further solicited more support from the security agencies towards achieving the set objectives and appreciated the efforts of the Nigerian Armed Forces in their commitment to eliminating criminal elements in the country.

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa reassured Governor Umaru Bago that the Armed Forces remain committed in its quest to surmounting the insecurity in the State and the Country at large.

He said that the Armed Forces would do its possible best to ensure that Citizens go about living normal lives free from attacks.
