The TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation, a reputable Non-Governmental Organization in Nigeria, has expressed its heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Zaria and the Zazzau Emirate Council following the tragic collapse of a historic 150-year-old mosque in Kaduna state.

The Chairman of the foundation, Dahiru Danfulani, also paid a compassionate visit to the Emir of Zazzau to personally convey his condolences.

“In times of tragedy like this, the foundation stands firm in its commitment to offer support and assistance to those affected,” said Danfulani.

He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and commended the resilience and unity displayed by the Zazzau Emirate Council in the face of such adversity.

“It is through the collective efforts of individuals and organizations like ours that we can rebuild and heal together,” added Danfulani.

“The collapse of this historic mosque not only represents a loss for the people of Zaria but also carries significant cultural impact. The mosque, with its rich history spanning over a century, was not only a place of worship but also a symbol of heritage and tradition for the community,” he emphasized.

The foundation called on the Kaduna state government and other stakeholders to play an active role in the restoration of the collapsed mosque.

The collapse of the Zaria Central Mosque resulted in loss of life and injuries to residents who were observing their prayers on Friday evening.

For decades, the Zaria Central Mosque, which was constructed in the 1830s, has welcomed Muslim faithful from all corners of the world.
