Advocating for Love and Peace: Olubadan Urges Eze Ndigbo to Foster Unity

In celebration of Dr. Alex Anozie’s 26th anniversary as the Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland in Oyo State, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, expresses his felicitations and calls on Dr. Anozie to continue promoting love and peace.

The Olubadan highlights the significant harmony that has prevailed between the Igbo and Yoruba ethnic groups since Dr. Alex Anozie assumed the role of Ezendigbo of Ibadanland in 1997, with no major conflicts observed.

In a letter addressed to the Igbo monarch on the occasion of his coronation commemoration, Oba Balogun advises him to steadfastly advocate for the unity and progress of Nigeria.

In his message, the Olubadan states, “I bring you royal greetings from the palace as I join you in celebrating your recent 26th year anniversary as Eze Ndigbo, recognizing your role as a God-fearing leader to your people in Ibadan and throughout Oyo State.”

“The peaceful coexistence between the Igbo community and their Yoruba hosts, which has persisted for the past 26 years under your leadership, is commendable and a testament to your leadership acumen,” adds Oba Balogun.

Continuing his message, the Olubadan urges Dr. Anozie to maintain his role as a champion of love and peace and a staunch advocate for the unity and progress of Nigeria. He also expresses his prayer for the Eze Ndigbo’s long life and good health to continue leading his people and making valuable contributions to humanity.
