In a shocking incident, the police in Edo state have confirmed the arrest of 84-year-old Gabriel Ahuwa for the alleged murder of his 75-year-old wife. The motive behind this horrific act? Denial of intimacy.
During a press conference in Benin, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, the Public Relations Officer of the command, stated that Ahuwa was among the 198 suspects apprehended for various crimes in the state, including armed robbery, kidnapping, and murder.
The heartrending truth emerged when Ahuwa, unremorseful for his actions, claimed that killing his wife was the only solution to her prolonged denial of intimacy.
In an interview with journalists, the suspect revealed that his wife had been consistently rejecting his advances for an extended period.
“My wife never heeded my pleas. Every time I asked her to sleep with me, she would decline. We have brought seven children into this world,” he expressed.
“I sought help from both our families, but she refused to listen and continued with her obstinacy,” he continued.
“Meanwhile, I recently discovered that she had been involved in illicit affairs with several pastors,” the suspect added.
However, remorse tinged his words as he expressed regret for his unforgivable act.
