Reps Discredit Rumoured Indictment Of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB)

By Gloria Essien, Abuja

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Adhoc Committee Investigating Job Racketeering in Federal Agencies, Yusuf Gagdi, has categorically stated that the committee has not indicted the Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Ishaq Oloyode, or any other agency.

Media reports had suggested that the committee found Professor Oloyode guilty of employing approximately 300 staff members without following due process.

Gagdi strongly condemned these rumors, emphasizing that it is incorrect to insinuate that the Committee has already implicated the JAMB Registrar when they are still in the process of carrying out their investigation.

He further explained that the committee has been engaging in thorough discussions with all the agencies involved in their investigation.

Gagdi emphasized that it would be premature to assume that any agency has been indicted until the committee concludes its investigation and presents its report to the House.

We have neither made any indictments nor submitted any report anywhere, so please do not misquote us,” Gagdi stated.
