The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General YD Ahmed, has made an impassioned plea for greater assistance from members of the National Assembly. He believes that with enhanced support, the NYSC can build upon the significant milestones it has achieved over the past 50 years.
Brigadier General YD Ahmed expressed these sentiments during his advocacy visits to the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Youth Development, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, and the Chairman of the House Committee on Youth Development, Honourable Martins Esin, on their assumption of office.
While in Abuja, the Director-General congratulated the lawmakers on their appointments and emphasized NYSC’s unwavering commitment to promoting national unity, socio-economic development, youth empowerment, and wealth creation in Nigeria.
He stressed the importance of fostering a stronger relationship with the lawmakers to ensure that the concerns of Nigerian youth are prioritized.
Senator Adaramodu and Honourable Esin, in response, assured the Director-General that they would provide the necessary support to create an enabling environment for the NYSC to fulfill its mandate.
