The Director General of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, has appealed for increased assistance from Members of the National Assembly as the Scheme moves to offer more contributions to national development.

The Director General of the scheme stated this when he paid advocacy visits to the Chairman, Senate Committee on Youth Development, Senator Yemi Adaramodu and the Chairman, House Committee on Youth Development, Honourable Martins Esin on their assumption of office.

Brigadier General Ahmed during his separate visits to both lawmakers in Abuja, congratulated them for emerging as Chairmen of Lawmakers that would oversee youth-related issues in the country, adding that NYSC would not relent in its contributions to national unity, socio-economic development of the country, youth empowerment, wealth creation among others.

He opined that there is need to foster stronger relationship with the lawmakers “so as to prioritize youth concerns in our dear nation.”

In their separate remarks, Senator Adaramodu and Honourable Esin promised to provide every necessary support that would provide more enabling environment for the Scheme in the discharge of its mandate.
