In a significant move, former senator Philip Aduda, who formerly represented the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has been appointed as the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caretaker Committee in Kogi State. The announcement was made on Sunday night by the PDP National Working Committee (NWC), as conveyed in a statement released by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Umar M. Bature.
The committee has been tasked with overseeing and managing the affairs of the party in the state after the previous elected State Working Committee completed its tenure. Under Aduda’s leadership, the 14-member committee is expected to navigate the party’s course in the state effectively. Assisting him in this role is Hon George Daika, who will serve as the Secretary of the committee.
The rest of the committee members include Hon Sunday Shigaba, Hon Joshua Adejoh, Paul Ukwenya, Bilkisu Onusagba, Hon Gbenga Olorunnipa, Chief Dayo Akande, Hon Siyaka Uchunaye, Grace Atawodi, Audu Idris, Hon Sheidu O Abara, Hon MO Sule, and Abiola Olajubu.
The much-anticipated inaugural ceremony for the committee is scheduled to take place today, Monday August 21, at the National Executive Committee (NEC) Hall of the Wadata Plaza Headquarters in Abuja.
