President Bola Tinubu has urged the 45 newly appointed ministers to meet the expectations of Nigerians for a revitalized socio-economic development. Speaking at the inauguration of the ministers in Abuja on Monday, Tinubu emphasized the need for renewal and reform across all sectors.
“Nigerians expect you to hit the ground running, just as we promised them during our campaigns. With your inauguration today, you have become ministers of the Federal Republic, not ministers of a particular state or region,” said Tinubu.
He added, “Nigerians deserve to see positive changes in their lives. You are now in the same boat with me, and they expect their lives to take a new and better turn.”
Tinubu highlighted the diversity represented by the newly appointed ministers and commended their track records of success and achievements in various fields.
“The challenges we face today are daunting, but we have the opportunity to implement long overdue reforms that will bring about peace, safety, and prosperity for our people, as outlined in our renewed hope agenda,” Tinubu stated.
He called on the ministers to contribute their quota to delivering accountable, efficient, and effective service to Nigerians. Tinubu reminded them that their responsibilities begin immediately and urged them to prove themselves as worthy representatives of the people.
