President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on the newly inaugurated Ministers to embody integrity in all aspects of their work, as both he and the Nigerian people will hold them accountable. The President emphasized that serving the nation as Ministers is a privilege, and they cannot afford to fail the citizens.

“Being chosen to serve as Ministers in the Federal Executive Council of our beloved Republic is the highest honor. But with this honor comes tremendous responsibility.

“Each one of you has been called to distinguish yourselves. While it is me who knows you, the majority of Nigerians have high expectations for delivery, accountability, and transparency.

“I expect you to serve with integrity, dignity, and to deliver on your promises. I will hold you to the standard we all promised Nigerians.”

The President urged the Ministers to begin their work immediately and reminded them that their assignment is to be viewed as a call to service, making themselves worthy in the eyes of God and the entire nation.

“Your highest obligation is to restore public faith in government, allowing our people to believe that the right people in government can make a positive impact. I believe in you, and I believe that the government can be a force for transformation and collective progress in our country,” he added.

The President emphasized that the Ministers should work for the whole nation, not just a specific region or state. He assured citizens that the Ministers will play a vital role in realizing the Renewed Hope Agenda of the current administration.

“Fellow Nigerians, the challenges we face today are extremely daunting. However, amidst these challenges, we have the opportunity to implement long-overdue reforms that will improve the functioning of the government, transform our economy, and ensure peace, safety, and prosperity for our people.

“These are the objectives that underpin the Renewed Hope Agenda and inspired the selection of these distinguished Ministers. You are Ministers of the Federal Republic, not ministers of a region or a particular state.”

The President assured the nation that he carefully selected the Ministers, taking into consideration the Federal Character provision of the law, ensuring fair representation across the country.

“These men and women have been selected by me based on their track records of excellence and achievements in the public and private sectors.

“They reflect the diversity of Nigeria and bring with them a range of experiences and expertise to guide the nation’s affairs, rebuild the nation, and lay the foundation for a prosperous future,” he stated.
